BMW R 1300 R Super Hooligan Gallery
Earlier this week, BMW revealed a new Super Hooligan race bike based on the R 1300 R. With its bold orange color (a tribute to the R 90 S that won the first ever superbike race 50 years ago) and metallic blue fork tubes, brake calipers and subframe, it's quite a looker.
Personally, I've never been a fan of the R 1300 R's stock headlight, finding it disproportionately small compared to the rest of the bike. That won't be an issue here, with the headlight replaced with a number plate.
As of this writing, the Super Hooligan class has completed qualifying, with ROKiT BMW Motorrad rider Nate Kern 13th overall, just under 3 seconds behind pole sitter James Rispoli.
