2027 Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario First Look Gallery
How do you take your most advanced superbike up another notch? Typically, manufacturers go the carbon fiber route, using the lightweight material for the fairings and other key touchpoints, and, if they're being ambitious, maybe even the chassis.
But apparently, that's not enough for Ducati and its new Superleggera V4 Centenario which, for the first time ever on a street-legal motorcycle, features carbon-ceramic brakes and carbon sleeved forks. The result is a decrease in the weight from the regular Panigale V4's claimed 412 pounds to 381 pounds (all wet weights, but sans fuel). Fitted with the included racing kit, and the claimed weight drops even further to 368 pounds.
And if that's not enough, Ducati also gave it a new version of its V4 engine, claiming a peak output of 228 hp (247 with a Akrapovič racing exhaust and Ducati Corse Performance oil).
Finishing it all off is a new GP26 Rosso Centenario livery, and you get a superbike worth of Ducati's 100th anniversary.
