2027 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 ABT – First Look
MV teams with German tuner ABT Sportsline
MV Agusta and German tuner ABT Sportsline have teamed up to produce a limited edition Brutale 1000. Restricted to a run of 130 units, the 2027 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 ABT will retail for €40,990 (US$47,850) in Italy. Production will begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Brutale 1000 ABT comes in a Nero Carbonio Metallizzato (Carbon Black Metallic) and Rosso Fuoco (Fire Red). The graphics are applied using a premium water decal technology for a zero-profile finish. A clear coat is then applied on top using a manual process with controlled curing cycles to provide durability and UV resistance. On the right side, above the trellis frame, is an Italian flag motif with MV Agusta’s “Motorcycle Art” tagline, while on the left, ABT Sportsline provides its “From the Racetrack to the Road” slogan and the German flag.
The most eye-catching detail is the carbon rear wheel rim cover with a racing-inspired turbofan design. The rim covers are not just a styling choice; according to MV Agusta, the cover reduces turbulence around the rear wheel and reduces drag. The exposed front wheel features subtle red accents to match the Rosso Fuoco bodywork. As with the Brutale 1000 RR, both wheels are made from a forged aluminum alloy for reduced unsprung weight and optimal rigidity.
Apart from the rear wheel cover, the ABT model is mechanically similar to the regular production Brutale 1000 RR. The engine is the same liquid-cooled 998cc inline-Four, with MV Agusta claiming 201 hp at 13,500 rpm and 85.6 lb-ft. at 11,000 rpm with the standard exhaust. The Brutale 1000 ABT also comes with a track-only racing kit including a revised engine map and an Arrow titanium slip-on exhaust which pushes the maximum power output to a claimed 208 hp at 14,000 rpm.
The ABT also shares the RR models’ Öhlins electronic suspension. Up front is a Nix ECX inverted fork with a TiN surface finish, and at the rear is an EC TTX shock. Both offer electronically-controlled compression and rebound damping and manual spring preload adjustability. An Öhlins EC electronic steering damper also comes standard.
The front wheel comes with dual Brembo Stylema calipers and 320mm steel brake discs installed, but the included race kit includes Braking Batfly front rotors designed for improved heat dissipation and a self-cleaning action.
And of course, the limited edition model comes with 19 carbon fiber components including:
- front mudguard supports RH/LH
- airbox cover
- dashboard harness cover
- inner air ducts RH/LH
- fuel tank side panels RH/LH
- redesigned underseat panels with MV Agusta and ABT branding RH/LH
- projector covers
- front spoiler
- heat shields RH/LH
- rear wheel rim cover
- engine covers (clutch and gearbox sides)
- painted pillion seat cover
- rear belly fairing panel
Other accessories that come packaged with the Brutale 1000 ABT include a painted carbon tail cover, swingarm pivot adjustment plates,a CNC fuel tank cap, a dedicated bike cover, a welcome kit, and a certificate of authenticity.
U.S. pricing has not been announced, but in Italy, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 ABT will go for €40,990. That’s a €13,390 premium over the Brutale 1000 RR. In the U.S., the RR starts at US$33,098, so we estimate the ABT model to come in closer to $50,000.

I simply cannot get past the 'gauche' aesthetics of this MV...looks like an 'aftermarket Parts and Accessories Mule that is loaded with every non complimentary and uncoordinated item possible...an artificial, silver coloured Christmas tree. FUGLY.
