Vespa Teams With Upscale Restaurant Gigi for Limited Edition Model
Vespa is partnering with posh Italian restaurant brand Gigi Rigolatto for a limited edition Primavera 125 scooter. We're not too familiar with Gigi ourselves; from what we gather, it's a high-end chain offering Mediterranean cuisine, with locations in posh locations such as Paris, Saint-Tropez, Dubai, and Miami Beach. What we do know, is the limited edition Vespa x Gigi scooter looks great.
Visually, the Vespa x Gigi is supposed to evoke the feeling of riding around the Italian Riviera, looking for a good spot for a picnic, and in that regard, it works, with its sun-yellow paint, front shield luggage rack, and a wicker basket attached to a rear luggage rack.
But what really makes the look work are the ivory-white rims and matching "tie" on the front fairing. Most current Vespa models have the tie in the same color as the rest of the bodywork, and wheels that are either black, silver, gold, or, on other special editions, color-matched with the paint. But the white wheels and tie on the Vespa x Gigi? Perfetta.

The padded seat, finished in a cognac colour and accented with ivory stitching, embodies understated, timeless luxury. The front fairing features a tie inspired by the house’s iconic striped parasols, alongside a luggage rack fitted with leather straps to hold a beach towel; the signature Gigi logo on the front fairing serves as an invitation to escape. At the rear, a chrome luggage rack extends into a wicker basket, a chic evocation of Mediterranean getaways. The ivory-white rims, paired with open-sidewall tyres, offer a modern take on the aesthetic of the old-style Vespas that once cruised the roads of Saint-Tropez.
