Triumph announced new Alpine and Desert Edition versions of the Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200, featuring premium upgrades and special paint and graphic schemes. The more off-road focused Tiger 1200 and Tiger 900 Rally Pro models will come in the Desert Edition while the Alpine Editions will be based on the more road oriented GT Pro trims.

The Tiger 900 GT Pro Alpine Edition will be available for $17,495, while the Tiger 900 Rally Pro Desert Edition comes in at $17,995. That puts them both at a $400 premium over the regular GT Pro and Rally Pro models. Meanwhile, the Tiger 1200 GT Pro Alpine is listed at $21,895 and the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro Desert at $22,995, which is actually $200 less than what Triumph lists for the regular Pro models.

We’ve reached out to Triumph to check on the price structure, to verify whether the special edition models are supposed to be less expensive, but if these prices stand, they represent a pretty good bargain. [UPDATE Nov. 14: Triumph assures us the published pricing is correct.]

Expect all four special edition Tiger models to arrive in showrooms in January.

In addition, the Tiger 1200 GT Pro Alpine Edition gains heated rider and pillion seats, plus the radar sensor-based Blind Spot Assist and Lane Change Assist.

Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro Alpine Edition

The Tiger 900 GT Pro Alpine Edition comes in just a single color option, which Triumph calls Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black with Aegean Blue accents.

In addition, the Tiger 900 Alpine Edition receives engine protection bars and an Akrapovič silencer.

Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro Desert Edition

The Tiger 900 Rally Pro Desert Edition comes also comes fitted with an Akrapovič exhaust, and since it already comes standard with engine bars, the special edition model gains additional protective bars for the fuel tank.

Triumph is on a roll...,.. a force to be reckoned with for sure.

Yeah, "adventure" bikes are kind of lost on me. I've never been interested in a do-it-all motorcycle. But that bike looks kind of cool AND well-finished. Triumph seems to be firing on all cylinders these days.
