2027 Suzuki SV-7GX Officially Announced for US Market

Last week, we broke the news of the SV-7GX’s impending launch in the U.S. market. Today, Suzuki Motor USA made it official, confirming the new “sport crossover” model is joining its lineup.
What we didn’t know was that Suzuki was planning on introducing a slightly less expensive variant called the SV-7GXV featuring… er, bland new graphics, I guess. The regular 2027 Suzuki SV-7GX will start at $8,599 in a choice of Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Triton Blue and blue wheels or Pearl Matte Griege (that’s a mix of gray and beige) with red wheels. Both versions sport a GX graphic on the side fairings inspired by the GSX-S1000GX+.

But for just $8,399, Suzuki offers the SV-7GXV, which is exactly the same as the regular model, but it comes in a graphic-less Pearl Brilliant White color with black wheels. Most manufacturers would just make this the base model and offer the other two as options for a small up-charge, but Suzuki decided to call it a separate model variant.
Either way you go about it, you’re still getting the same 645cc 90-degree V-Twin engine derived from the SV650. The SV-7GX comes with a ride-by-wire throttle with three ride modes, a three-level (plus off) traction control system, a bidirectional quickshifter, and a low-rpm assist that raises the engine speed at takeoff or to reduce the chances of stalling in stop-and-go conditions.
Ergonomically, the SV-7GX sits between the sporty SV650 and the more upright V-Strom 650 — hence the “sport crossover” designation. Suzuki says the SV-7GX offers a mix of sportbike agility and touring comfort, but judging from the comments in our previous coverage, a lot of our readers want to deny it the “sport-touring” label because of the lack of cruise control and standard luggage. An integrated rear carrier does come standard, and there should be a selection of compatible luggage options in Suzuki’s accessories catalog.
Other highlights include an adjustable windscreen, a 4.6-gallon fuel tank, hand guards, long travel suspension, and a 4.2-inch TFT display.
To support the launch of the SV-7GX, Suzuki announced an online reservation program that runs through the month of July. Those who register will receive priority consideration for earlier deliveries.

I just read an article on Topspeed that says the bike does have cruise control--at the end of the article it states source Suzuki Cycles?? Does it or does it not have cruise control?
I can't wait to test this at a Suzuki demo day next year. The price is right and it is arguably the best looking bike in the budget touring segment. It's a huge upgrade in the looks department over the VStrom 650.
