Getting to Know the Boys, Industry Secrets, and a Look at the State of Next-Gen Supersports

In case our written reviews and videos weren’t enough, the Motorcycle.com crew has now entered the world of podcasts! Say hello to Bore and Stoke. In this first episode, we’ll tell you what Bore and Stoke is, how often it’ll come at you, and why you’ll want to keep tuning in.

Once you learn about the podcast, you’ll get to meet the four MO staffers and maybe even learn a little something about us.

We’ll then get right into the meat of the conversation with some exciting new model news from Kawasaki and BMW, before we wrap things up with a discussion about the new Yamaha YZF-R9 and the emerging Next Gen Supersport category as a whole. There might even be a teaser for an upcoming test we’re working on.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to our podcast sponsor, the Honda Gold Wing. If you’re gonna ride, ride something legendary. Learn more about the 50th anniversary of the Honda Gold Wing here.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.

The motorcycle market is truly amazing. Almost overwhelming it makes it hard to pick one single bike. I'm sorry I don't have enough years left to own more bikes. I thought my 77 Suzuki GS750 was the greatest and I'm ashamed that I let it go but life happens. Glad to be on the ground floor of your podcast. I'm sure it will just get better everytime. Enjoy your next ride.
