2026 Triumph Street Triple 765 RX and Moto2 Edition Confirmed
Two limited edition models certified by CARB
Earlier this year, Triumph debuted a limited edition Speed Triple 1200 RX, an even sportier variant of the 1,160cc streetfighter. Motorcycle.com can now confirm Triumph will be doing the same with its middleweight Street Triple, introducing a new RX variant for 2026. The Street Triple 765 RX will not be alone, as it also looks like Triumph is also bringing back a Moto2 Edition.
Both the RX and Moto2 Editions are included in an executive order from the California Air Resources Board amended on August 29, 2025, joining the 2026 Street Triple R and RS models, which had originally been certified in February.
While the CARB EO confirms both models exist, it does not provide any specifics of how they will differ from the R and RS models, or from each other, for that matter. With its Moto2 branding, we expect that will be the more premium of the two, but all the obvious upgrade options could just as easily apply to either bike.
Triumph previously offered a limited edition Street Triple RX in 2015, back when the middleweight was powered by a 675cc engine. That RX featured a special Matt Aluminum Silver and Diablo Red paint scheme and a sharper tail inherited from the Daytona 675R. It also came standard with a belly pan, fly screen, and seat cowl, but was otherwise mechanically similar to the 2015 Street Triple R.
The more recent Speed Triple 1200 RX might be a better sign of what to expect than a decade-old limited edition model. The Speed Triple RX offered more aggressive ergonomics than its base model, with clip-on higher footpegs and clip-on handlebars paired with a machined top yoke. The 1200 RX also added an Akrapovič silencer and an Öhlins SD EC electronic steering damper.
While the Öhlins steering damper might be a bit too much to expect, the Akrapovič exhaust and sportier ergonomics are more realistic for a Street Triple RX. A few carbon fiber touches and perhaps a similar Triumph Performance Yellow color like the Speed Triple RX also seem likely.
Of course, all of the above can also apply to the Moto2 Edition, including the vibrant yellow color. Triumph previously offered a Moto2 Edition for 2023 and 2024, featuring clip-ons, carbon fiber bodywork and a fully adjustable Öhlins NIX30 fork. Perhaps Triumph will go one step further like it did with the 2020 Daytona Moto2 765, and upgrade the rear suspension with an Öhlins TTX36 shock.
However Triumph decides to differentiate them, we know that it has two special edition Street Triple models on the way. EICMA in early November seems like the likeliest place they’ll be announced, though it’s possible Triumph may hold the Moto2 Edition back for when the Grand Prix racing season ends Nov. 14-16 at Valencia.

Rich doesn’t seem like a real rider!
Best thing about those bug eyes is you don’t see them when you’re riding the bike. Palomar is calling. Have a great Monday gents.
