Buell Motorcycle Co. Debuts First Completed Super Cruiser Build

Buell Motorcycle Co. has taken the Super Cruiser from concept to the concrete and has officially entered the production phase of its highly anticipated model, marking a milestone moment for the American motorcycle brand. Last week, Buell began its first builds of the Super Cruiser, completing VIN 0001 on September 26, 2025.

This achievement has been closely watched since the Super Cruiser was first unveiled in February 2023, igniting passion across the riding community. With production underway, Buell is doubling down on its commitment to hand-crafted precision, delivering motorcycles built without compromise.

The very first production Super Cruiser will be on public display October 3–5, 2025, at the Barber Motorsports Museum during Barber Vintage Festival. Upon final federal certifications, VIN 0001 will be formally dedicated and delivered to the museum, cementing its place in motorcycle history.

“These hand-built machines are a true blend of performance and art,” said Bill Melvin, CEO of Buell Motorcycle Co. “We’re proud of the talented team whose dedication and craftsmanship transformed the Super Cruiser from a bold concept into a production motorcycle.”

As part of its commitment to ethical scaling, Buell continues to prioritize its employees and supply chain partners through an intentional ramp-up of the model. This measured approach guarantees not only product integrity but also long-term sustainability for the brand and its community.

“We’ve chosen a deliberate path of ramping up production slow and steady to ensure every machine lives up to its promise and every rider feels that unmistakable Buell connection the moment they twist the throttle,” said Jason Anderson, Manufacturing and Quality Director at Buell Motorcycle Co.

Buell has entered production with customer deliveries set to begin following the completion of final federal certifications. Customers who placed a sales order for the Super Cruiser will be contacted within the next two to four months to configure financing and arrange delivery once these approvals are secured.

The production Super Cruiser showcases purpose-built performance parts, including a Fox suspension package, Brembo dual-disc brake system, and Dunlop SportMax Q5A tires. Built with the rider in mind, the Super Cruiser is engineered to offer the flexibility to adapt and accessorize in ways that reflect each rider’s unique style and preferences - a true testament to Buell's continued legacy.

Sincerely wish them good luck but expect to see these on future "What were they thinking?" lists.

They’re always trying to be different. They think the public wants different so they produce different. Only the market likes retro and ADV’s. I predict a sales flop on the floor and it’s not because I hope for it. It’s because it’s obvious what’s gonna happen when you release something this ugly. It truly has a face only “Beullies” could love.
