RFN Warrior Race Electric Dirt Bike Debuts At EICMA
The global electric dirt bike market is heating up, and RFN is rapidly moving to the forefront of brands offering a competitive lineup of models featuring the right combination of performance and sustainability. At the November EICMA show 2025, RFN hosted an influential roundtable discussion entitled “Beyond Performance, Infinite Control”, featuring key dealers from France, Austria, and the United Kingdom, along with some professional racers, to explore the future of the sport. RFN also took the opportunity to unveil their new flagship model, the RFN Warrior Race.
Described as the world’s first intelligent electric off-road racing platform, the Warrior Race is equipped with RFN’s E-RACE DRIVE PRO motor, delivering a peak power output of 60 kW (81 hp) and 1080 Nm of torque, which enables exceptional acceleration and performance on various terrains. The vehicle operates at a high voltage of 460V, enhancing efficiency and facilitating better power delivery. It is powered by a quick swappable 7 kWh lithium battery module, allowing for fast battery changes in just 1 minute, which is particularly advantageous during competitive events where downtime needs to be minimized. The bike weighs 108 kg (238 lbs), achieving a balance between robust construction and a lightweight design for superior maneuverability. Additionally, the integrated smart control system features an APP Cloud Intelligent Management Platform, enabling users to monitor and adjust settings in real time for an optimized riding experience. The system also supports a fast-charging protocol for charging at EV charge stations, offering convenience and efficiency in various charging scenarios.
With the “instant-on” torque nature of electric motors, and the lightweight nature of the machine, performance is not the issue, control is. RFN’s roundtable discussion emphasized the “philosophy of control”, an idea that goes beyond simple speed, representing a deeper connection between rider and machine. Many companies have touched upon this premise, notably Pirelli’s “Power is nothing without control” ad campaign, as well as Mazda’s philosophy of “Jinba Ittai”, or “horse and rider as one”.
The goal for RFN is to redefine the concept of control, to make it an instinctual experience rather than a technical skill. “Control is not just about how fast you can go; it’s about how well you can navigate and connect with your bike,” an RFN representative stated.
Being able to harness a high level of torque (from nearly zero RPM) in such a lightweight package is the goal for RFN’s INTELLIRIDE adaptive tuning system in the Warrior Race, allowing the rider to execute their wishes instinctually.
“The Warrior Race is one of the most controllable electric off-road bikes I’ve experienced. It amplifies my rhythm rather than fighting against it”, noted Benni G, RFN’s racer representative from Austria.
For riders coming straight from internal combustion, the change can be more difficult, but RFN’s intelligent systems can make things easier.
“Traditional ICE bikes rely on sound; with the Warrior Race, it’s all about feel. The precision of the feedback is incredible, especially on difficult terrains”, said Tommy S, an experienced off-road rider and RFN representative from Germany.
For dealers, control is of utmost importance for their customers.
“For our customers, control translates into safety. RFN brings professional racing control into everyday riding, which is essential for mass adoption of electric motorcycles”, said one French dealer at the roundtable.
But beyond that, there will always have to be aesthetic appeal, as noted by a UK dealer when discussing the Warrior Race: “It beautifully marries Eastern aesthetics with Western technological rationality. This model has a unique warmth that resonates with the next generation.”
RFN was born in 2020 as an offshoot of Apollo, an off-road motorcycle manufacturer that was itself created in 2003, boasts over 680,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities, manufactures over 100,000 motorcycles annually, and is sold in 75 countries. RFN made news earlier in 2025 by jumping head first into the Red Bull Tennessee Knockout Hard Enduro with the racing debut of their Warrior Pro model, where they managed to finish the weekend in sixth place in the ECR eMoto Expert class, a fantastic result for a brand new team with a brand new bike. No doubt, RFN will be itching to get the new Warrior Race out on the circuit as soon as possible.
RFN concluded their roundtable by articulating a vision of making control a cultural expression, aligning with Eastern philosophies of harmony and balance.
“Control is not about conquest; it’s about resonance”, stated RFN’s brand leader.
The ultimate consensus of the roundtable was that the focus in the electric off-road sector is shifting towards intelligent tuning and enhancing user experience, and that features such as AI tuning and regenerative energy management will define the future landscape.
