Nolan Helmets has partnered with Minnesota-based safety tech company Quin to introduce the X-904 UC intelligent helmet.

The X-904 UC comes with a small electronic device called a Quin Pod that can detect critical events such as crashes and other severe impacts. When an event is detected, the Pod automatically sends an alert out to the helmet wearer's emergency contacts and, in certain markets where it is available, notify emergency services.

The Pod also collects riding data such as speed, acceleration and braking, allowing riders to analyze their riding patterns.

Nolan & Quin Forge Strategic Partnership to Launch the new X-904 UC Intelligent Helmet

Quin, the leader in intelligent safety technology, proudly announces a strategic partnership with Nolan, the Italian brand celebrated for its fusion of craftsmanship, innovation, and design excellence. Together, they unveil the Nolan X-904 UC with Quin technology — a groundbreaking intelligent helmet that combines unparalleled safety, performance analytics, and Italian design elegance.

Making its global debut at EICMA 2025, the X-904 UC marks the beginning of a new era for connected, intelligent protection in the motorcycle world.

Where Intelligence Meets Elegance

The X-904 represents the perfect harmony between Nolan’s “Elegance in Engineering” philosophy and Quin’s Intelligent Safety Technology. Designed for those who go further, the X-904 UC brings Quin intelligence into every ride, giving valuable data and an added layer of safety — so riders can focus on the journey.

  • The Quin Pod is designed to detect critical events such as crashes, collisions, and severe impacts. When detected, Quin automatically triggers alerts to the rider’s emergency contacts and, through the Quin Response System (QRS), can directly notify professional emergency services across 32 countries — helping to dramatically reduce response times when every second counts.
  • Beyond protection, the X-904 UC offers riders valuable data about their rides and helmet activity. From impact detection metrics to riding patterns such as speed, acceleration, and braking, the intelligent X-904 with Quin technology provides insights that help riders better understand their performance and prepare more effectively for each journey.

This combination of safety and data is what distinguishes the X-904 UC — it is not just a helmet, but a connected system for protection and performance.

“Our mission at Quin has always been to make intelligence an integral part of every ride — not just to detect incidents, but to help protect riders through meaningful, data-driven technology. Partnering with Nolan marks an exciting step forward in that mission. The X-904 UC brings Quin’s smart system into the heart of a helmet built for exploration and endurance — a perfect match for adventure riders who embrace technology that enhances both their confidence and their connection to the ride.”

Nolan said:

“Nolan is a brand that can be described as unique in the global helmet market. The collection, proudly manufactured in Italy at the Brembate di Sopra factory, reflects an important historical journey characterised by craftsmanship of the highest calibre, making each piece unique and exclusive. Following the repositioning of the brand, which redefined the very concept of the helmet — no longer just a functional accessory for riding but a truly personal item that adapts to the needs and style of each user — Nolan today announces its partnership with Quin, cutting-edge technology applied to the X-904 UC, a new high-end product for the Nolan 2026 season, which opens the door to an even more complete future that not only looks at the aesthetic aspect of the helmet but focuses on maximizing safety and ever-increasing comfort when riding a two-wheel vehicle.”

It’s worse than you think. Collected data will be used in a lawsuit against you proving that you were speeding or riding in an unsafe manner according to the plaintiff’s attorney or your insurance company to deny your coverage, cancel your policy and, prevent you from ever getting motorcycle insurance again.

As Wal78479590 said Just another way to gather your information and sell it or use it against you. Who cares if you are leaning 30 degrees or 45. Ride your ride, you don't need fancy electronics to enjoy your street ride,. If you race there are ten times better devices. Most of the newer hi performance sport bikes have it built in.
