The classics never die

Classics never go out of style, and the Aviator or “Bomber” jacket silhouette is one of those pieces that will no doubt continue to exude the cool factor for years to come. In order for it to become a staple in a rider’s wardrobe though, it takes more than just good looks. If a piece of riding gear isn’t comfortable, there’s a good chance that it’ll sit on the rack gathering dust rather than road grime. Pando Moto’s attention to all of the right stuff with the Falcon Aviator jacket gives it the upper hand when it comes to stylish motorcycle gear.

In Gear: Pando Moto Falcon Leather Aviator Jacket Review

With a chassis made up of semi-aniline goat leather, the quality and comfort is obvious the moment one picks up the Falcon. Slipping into the jacket, the satin interior, optional quilted vest for warmth, and just-the-right snuggness of the ribbed hems deliver comfort than can’t be overstated. Multi-functional zippered pockets add to the usefulness while D3O’s CE-Level 1 Ghost armor in the shoulders and elbows is barely noticeable, allowing you to forget about the jacket’s AA safety rating. Pando Moto also sells a CE-Level 2 back protector separately, though we wish it was included and strongly suggest picking one up.

The only caveat we’ve noticed so far is that when the mercury rises, the Falcon doesn’t offer much in terms of breathability, which keeps it in the closet during the hottest times of year here in the Southwest.
