How To Maximize Fun On The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801
If you want to have some real fun with Husqvarna's Svartpilen 801, make sure you get one with the optional Dynamic Pack.
The $420 optional extra adds the Dynamic riding mode that allows you to adjust throttle response, toggle through 10 levels of traction control, dial in wheelie control, and motor slip regulation—all of this accessible via a five-inch optically-bonded TFT display.
The setting unlocks the bike’s full adjustability—allowing you to fine-tune how aggressively you want to ride. Our own Ryan Adams had a chance to explore the boundaries of the mode when he sampled the Svartpilen 801 in France:
It’s not a groundbreaking feature—several bikes from the KTM family offer similar systems—but its integration here feels polished and intuitive. The adjustments happen smoothly, letting you adapt to changing grip or riding style without diving through complex menus or stopping roadside.
For riders who like to explore the bike’s sportier side, this will turn the 801 into something much sharper and more responsive without sacrificing the safety net of its modern electronic suite.

I always liked this bike for its unique looks, just so distinctively different in design. One of the coolest looking motorcycles. And I know the engine is awesome, same 800 as my KTM 790 Duke, punchy midrange torque monster.
I really hope for Husqvarna to grow their dealer network, it’s subpar to KTM. I’ve just got one dealer in my area, but they hardly ever have any bikes available and I’ve never seen this model in stock.
Hi, Rich.
KTM mismanaged the acquisition of Husqvarna and GasGas. Bajaj has (started to) address this. Your comment regarding the Svartpilen is spot-on: it is a gorgeous motorcycle that is well-finished.
