ADV-Sport-Touring Has A New King: The KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO
The KTM Super Adventure S EVO isn’t the kind of motorcycle that’s supposed to surprise you, yet it manages to do exactly that.
Adventure sport-tourers tend to promise versatility, but few deliver genuine performance on pavement without reminding you of their size or intent. It’s been a long time since an adventure-leaning bike has felt this convincing on the street.
Despite rolling on a 19-inch front wheel, it corners with precision and stability that challenge assumptions about what this category can do—our own, Nic de Sena, had a chance to sample the bike late last year.
The chassis communicates clearly, and the suspension works in a way that supports aggressive riding rather than merely tolerating it. At times, it raises an uncomfortable question for KTM’s own lineup: if a bike like this can perform at such a level, where does that leave more traditional sport-touring models like the Super Duke GT?
For riders who want street performance without giving up comfort or versatility, this KTM makes a compelling case that the adventure segment has moved far beyond its original mission.
