This one's sure to be a hit at your next trackday

It's not every day a MotoGP bike goes up for sale, let alone a race-winning Ducati. Come November 9, however, that's going to change. Iconic Auctioneers will be auctioning off Andrea Dovizioso's 2019 Ducati GP19 Desmosedici — the same one he took to victory at Losail and the Red Bull Ring that year — at the NEC Classic Motor Show. Andrea Dovizioso's Race-Winning Ducati GP19 MotoGP Bike Heads To Auction On November 9

Iconic Auctioneers will present Andrea Dovizioso’s 2019 Ducati GP19 Desmosedici at the next  Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show on Sunday, November 9, giving collectors the rare chance to acquire a genuine, race-winning MotoGP machine with direct Ducati Corsa provenance.

Iconic Auctions estimates that this treasured bike will be auctioned for £500,000 - £700,000 ($672,215 to $941,101, per XE.com as of September 30, 2025).

Ridden by “Desmo Dovi” to second place in the 2019 FIM MotoGP World Championship, this GP19 delivered two Grand Prix victories in Qatar (Losail) and Austria (Red Bull Ring) as well as numerous podiums. The factory number one bike of the 2019 season, it was purchased by the current vendor from Ducati Corse in Bologna and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Paolo Ciabatti, the teams then Sporting Director. The machine is presented in full running order and all-original condition, complete with its original factory electronics and starter and finished in its iconic MISSON WINNOW livery. A battery charger, rear stand and cover are also supplied with the bike.

The GP19 Ducati is the “grandfather” of the current line of Moto GP Ducatis, with its origins seen in all subsequent GP20-25 versions. The inherent technological content was such, that they factory only lifted its resale embargo on the vehicle in 2024. At the heart of the GP19 is a 1,000 cc DOHC water-cooled V4 engine with a seamless gearbox, set within an aluminium alloy Evo twin-spar frame. Performance figures are quoted as over 250 bhp with a top speed in excess of 218 mph, numbers that translate directly to its results on track and speak to the level of engineering demanded at the very top of the sport.

Genuine race-spec componentry includes 48 mm upside-down Öhlins front suspension with an adjustable Öhlins single unit at the rear, and twin Brembo 340 mm carbon discs with four-piston callipers up front, complemented by a rear stainless-steel disc with a two-piston calliper.

“Opportunities to buy a genuine factory Ducati MotoGP machine with direct Ducati Corse provenance are incredibly rare,” said Mark Bryan, Motorcycle Manager at Iconic Auctioneers. “With Grand Prix wins to its name and a second-place championship finish in Dovizioso’s hands, this GP19 is a standout entry in our NEC Classic Motor Show sale and a highlight for any serious Ducati collection.”

No one that is able to afford the bike is going to be able to ride it. It will definitely be a nice centerpiece in his living room, though.

I didn't have to ask for the price but I still can't afford it.
