REV’IT! Brings all of the armor together in one base layer garment

Staying safe while riding off-road requires total protection. Sure, you can piecemeal your off-road armor, but what if I told you that you didn’t have to? Armor jackets bring it all together in one garment so you can be fully protected with one piece of kit. Meant to be worn under a jersey or outer shell, they’re a convenient alternative to wearing various pieces of gear.

In Gear: REV’IT! Proteus Armor Jacket Review

The REV’IT! Proteus armor jacket is made of a dense Hicom mesh one the outer areas for a smidge more abrasion resistance while REV’IT!’s PWR|Stretch mesh comprises the rest of the chassis. Keeping you protected against impacts is CE Level 2 SEEFLEX armor at the elbows and shoulders, with a CE Level 2 SEESOFT back protector and CE Level 1 SEESOFT split chest protectors. The tight fit and kidney belt help keep everything where it needs to be in order to protect you during a get off.

We’ve sampled many different brands and styles of armor jackets, and there are certainly some pros and cons to the REV’IT! Proteus jacket. Any deal breakers though? Check out the video above to find out.
